About Us
The El Lustrador Foundation is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization whose mission is to help underprivileged Guatemalan youths afford education. The foundation furthers this mission
by providing scholarships and education to Guatemalan youths and their families as well as working with US school districts to provide guidance to Latino youth in our community.

The Foundation was established in 2015 by René Corado, the author of El Lustrador, an inspirational biography book about a real-life story of a poor shoeshine boy in Guatemala who became a biologist and a Collection Manager of a natural history museum in Camarillo, United States.
